Owner
Axel is a lifelong dog lover who has worked in the pet care industry throughout his adult life. After graduating from Whittier College, he began his grooming journey at Healthy Spot in Los Angeles and later at Petco in San Diego before earning his Grooming Diploma from the San Diego Grooming Academy.
He gained hands-on experience at a respected grooming salon before returning to Mammoth Lakes—a place he has loved since childhood—to open the area’s first mobile grooming business.
Axel is known for his calm handling and attentive care from the first greeting to the final fluff. His signature mud treatments are used like a conditioning therapy to promote healthy skin and coat, making each appointment both practical and pampering.

What areas do you serve?
Grooms by Axel provides mobile dog grooming throughout Mammoth Lakes, Mono County, and surrounding areas, including Bishop, CA. Appointments are scheduled based on location and route availability.
Is this a salon or mobile grooming service?
We are fully mobile. Your dog is groomed inside a professionally equipped grooming van parked at your home. Each appointment is one-on-one — no cages, no crowded environments, and no unnecessary stress.
Do you groom cats?
At this time, we provide grooming services for dogs only.
What is included in a grooming appointment?
Services may include a premium bath, brush-out, haircut (breed-specific or customized), nail trimming and buffing, ear cleaning, and finishing touches like a bandana or bow. Signature mud treatments are also available to support healthy skin and coat.
Do I need to complete any forms before my appointment?
Yes. New clients are required to complete and sign a Consent & Service Agreement Form, which outlines grooming policies, health disclosures, and terms and conditions. This ensures transparency, safety, and the best experience for your dog.
